I did that upgrade at same time. Also there is no possibility to find out what error it is in "Event Viewer" as nothing gets recorded there.

- When comping out of standby putting the video in to full screen in MPC (which does not actually play/resume the video) made the system blue screen.
- Solution: use default windows driver.
- going to reboot here momentarily after my stress test is done. (The one for my RAM, not myself haha).
- On a side note Service Pack 1 also broke the sleep>resume function.

I eleminated the update and no freezes since...here is the website to download the saidupdate for those who don't mind installing and uninstalling the update as needed. This has happened repeatedly for about 3 months since every couple days. crashes can be random. Now the system freezes regularly when playing video files.

Dec 14, 2011 Recently I have been receiving a BSOD, most of which has been while watching videos on my vlc player. The freezes are very random however they occur the most when trying to play Co-op in Portal 2 (say about 80% of the time when trying to play it). So, there must be something wrong with one of windows updates that creates this windows FREEZE. If that helps, check for updates for your video drivers. currently using the haali renderer in mpc and windows hasnt crashed since. I am running windows 7 enterprise, service pack 1, with a 64 bit, i have 2 gigs of ram, and a 2.4 ghz processor[code]...

This happens randomly while watching movies on xfinity.com on Firefox 15, and more recently while watching one on WMP.
