If all else fails this is a definite work around.I would start with a BIOS update as one suggested, then I would use a program from Microsoft called "Autoruns" and disable Computer Freezes When Idle Windows 7 Hope this helps! Turned out I had one (or more) bad RAM modules. navigate to this website Search for: Search Subscribe via Email Subscribe and receive notifications of new posts by email. I do notice occasionally in Chrome if I have some addons, it will spike too, especially with multiple pages open.
