A few days ago it was freezing up every 20 or 30 minutes. look at the temps in speccy and compare it to the Tcase, if the temps ever reach or go over the tcase temps, than that means that it is an overheating. K. so far i see the backing over the memory cover does not allow heat removal. More about the author
I suspect paging issues. Last thing to try was a different Video card. Help! The monitor will turn off for up to 30 seconds a few times while you update your drivers, don't restart it when this happens.
