USB Storage Drives Not Recognized
Once out I connect a Seagate Slim Drive which immediately shows up. I have tried other computers and plugged it into a couple of TVs but not recognised. I do happen to have a dead drive and if I plug a thumb drive or nano into it, nothing happens. Open Windows Disk Management -> refresh corresponding interface to see whether the USB drive will be reloaded and reinstalled or just find the USB device with a question mark -> right my review here

If the drive is recognised, there’s a problem with the original computer. It got the lot. The Windows System Restore feature could save your butt.
If the drive does appear to be partitioned, it may be partitioned with the wrong file system. i have sony bravia EX400 full hd 32 inch tv bought sometime back. If it’s an external hard drive, you may have to flip a power switch on the hard drive to activate it.
