I am running windows 7 home basic 64 bit and am wondering if I can install windows xp? I did what you suggested. When I boot up with the xp installation cd it loads the files and then gives me a blue screen saying something like ‘setup can't continue … if you get this I tried every last suggestion from them and spent even more money beyond the $1200 i paid for the board in attempts to fix this issue.
