I recently purchased a new computer system and now I only seem to be getting sound out of my 2 front speakers all the time, and sound from my sub only So why does it have a 7.1 setting on the sound setup. When I click properties on that the only tabs are 'general, drivers, details, and events'. That should show you Dolby Digital and DTS. SPDIF works just fine with stereo sound (Winamp, Games, etc.). Alas my receiver is more than 15 years old, and does not have a HDMI connect.

Picked up the Logitech x-540 speaker system yesterday and installed them today. I have the Logitech plugged into the sound card with Windows 7 64bit and it all works beautifully all the time. Plus most of them do not support a TOSLINK optical connection and rarely does anyone ever test the games for 5.1 support either . Please try the request again. When I select the digital output, I can only select properties and not configuration (which is greyed out) and therefore this is no option to setup a 5.1 speaker configuration. ive used 2 splitters to make those 3 into 1 and i have it hooked up to my laptop and i hear sound from all 3 speakers... This is most notable using Chrome and Firefox and tends to be dependant upon which application you use within Safari.
The problem affects digital coax and digital optical, so basically anybody running digital surround from their Windows 10 system. I have nothing like that here.
