Unable To Change USB Headset From Setreo To 5.1/7.1
As far as windows is concerned its stereo. Sony and Microsoft force games publishers be compatible with their audio specification. Optional) Calibrate your audio setup for an optimal surround sound playback. Think about it bro. get redirected here
I do assume that I should have windows set to stereo as that's all I need for surround sound and that indeed appears to be true but I've done plenty of Make sure your receiver has direct analog inputs on it; this feature has been phased out on most current receivers. tyrrin05-26-2011, 05:13 PMI have the g930, and it works every once in a while, however if you constantly go from regular to conversation, the game will eventually break the g930 and Select your output device and click the "Configure" button (or right-click on the device and choose "Configure Speakers").
Unchecking certain speakers essentially mutes them, applications still think you have those speakers and will try to output audio to them instead of moving audio to other speakers that aren't muted. It's then up to your headphones hardware or DSP to upmix the stereo to virtual 5.1 or 7.1. Skyrim was the worst for this issue, and I put it down to the G35 not being a true 7.1 device.
BC2 Cypher05-23-2011, 11:07 AMI have the G930 and I just use stereo mode since 7.1 doesn't work. Will Razer Surround work if there are other sound processing software active in my system? They changed the gun fire last patch. I dont have speakers and my monitor audio is bad as f*ck.
Also, some games can have difficulty properly recognizing SPDIF devices encoding 5.1 DDL or DTSC streams which results in the game defaulting to stereo output. Would this microphone still work if the headset was cut off?
and the same can be said when I changed Windows from 5.1 to stereo! Alternatively, sell that x7, buy a decent desktop amp and use a basic sound card, like the Asus Xonar series. Hence, please disable all other sound processing software aside from Razer Surround. EDIT: Yeah talking about headsets, some of them use usb so would probably bypass your setup and some have multiple analog connectors.
All console games come with high definition audio PCM 2.0 / 5.1 / 7.1 as standard. The G35 only supports 7.1, and then emulates 2.1 Stereo Audio. Will the enhancements and EQ continue to work if Razer Surround is set to OFF? To redeem your Surround Pro upgrade code you’ll need to first install both Razer Synapse and the Standard version of Razer Surround.

Restarting the game, the computer, or starting an entirely new TW2 game does not help.
After selecting to configure your speakers, you should now be at a window that lets you pick your speaker configuration. The image above is the final step for configuring your speakers through Windows. Consoles have licences for Dolby Digital and DTS (HD and non HD). useful reference To those of you who know what you're doing, Are my settings set correctly already?
Yes. Instead I get this dialogue box. Have you invested in an amplifier yet?
Typically, these games output the audio in the same format (stereo/5.1/7.1) as the configuration of the default output device.
Windows sees 1 green line-in as stereo. Please check out our forum guidelines for info related to our community. Zenthik05-26-2011, 05:23 PMThis is not just with that particular hardware. this page As simple as that!
Upon using SBX surround it barely does anything other than make things sound more echo like and doesn't widen the sound field at all... Untill then I recommend stereo. Razer Surround says I’ll get an upgrade activation code, but I didn’t. The headphones integrated 7.1 upmix is really for people that don't have a soundcard capable of the DSP. I assumed it was a Driver or Software issue, but I have installed the latest Drivers and Software but to no avail, this headset does not require a specific sound card. cant be that hard to fix, if its working sometimes already, right?i dont wanna sound rude, but u telling me to use stereo is like me telling u to use an It will be implemented ofcourse... the weird thing is, sometimes it works for an hour with no problems at all, and than it just happens literally as soon as i jump in.
The only thing your headphones could do to enhance that, is to have a larger sound staging. But i did find a solution that makes it so there is sound, but it sounds awful in this mode. 1. The time now is 15:01. Putting some punch and authority into your DAC/card would go a long ways to brightening and highlighting the audio.

I have started playing on my PS4 for the past few days and I must say I really do notice the difference in sound quality over most pc games out there, I can't configure it in 2.0.
Why don't creative do this?! Been having to reduce it to 6 speaker for sound to work. Untill then I recommend stereo. i wish i had the luxury of playing the game with sound.i dont care if its 7.1, i just wanna use my headphones and play the game
