I didn't even need to do step 2.2 in the above article to update the slow update client problem cause it was already installed in 2015 w/ other updates. I know I may be behind the times but 7 was perfect for me as it's just like Vista but better. I tried windows10, but the Bluetooth and scrolling features of the touchpad don't work.
