I will close this thread and attempt to repair my Windows 7. It is always a struggle with windows OEM as often the standard recovery option from the manufacturer is to revert to factory settings which is rarely a desirable option. I've basically been hiding the updates that have been failing but having come across this forum I thought I might see whether anyone here could help me out with my problem.
